Al-Tazkiya 2024 has officially begun, bringing together sisters from across the UK for a spiritually enriching journey of self-reformation and connection. The day opened with a heartfelt welcome for Dr Ghazala Qadri and Sister Safa Hammad Qadri, greeted warmly by the Minhaj Sisters team and attendees, setting a tone of unity and inspiration. 💖
President Minhaj Sisters, sister Ansa Hussain commenced the retreat by reminding us of the power of positive companionship (sohbah) and the importance of stepping away from daily routines to rejuvenate our spiritual connection. She expressed heartfelt gratitude to Dr. Ghazala for dedicating her time to guide us through this transformative journey. 🌟
The highlight of the day was Dr. Ghazala Qadri's first lecture, "The Importance of the Heart in Spiritual Reformation." She beautifully explained the heart's pivotal role as the "headquarters" of our inner selves, impacting our intentions and actions. Dr. Ghazala shared that Allah looks into our hearts 70 times a day, reminding us that the inner self takes precedence over outward actions in His view. She delved into the three types of actions—sinful (ma'asi), obedient (it'aat), and permissible (muhabaat)—stressing that our inner state and intention can transform even good deeds into sins. Drawing wisdom from Imam Ghazali's Ihya ul Uloom, she emphasised the urgent need to diagnose and treat the diseases of the heart to truly reform ourselves. 🌿✨
Brother Adnan Sohail also shared an inspiring session on the impactful work of Minhaj Welfare Foundation (MWF), encouraging sisters to bring forward their ideas for meaningful collaborations. Minhaj Sisters extended their gratitude to MWF for generously sponsoring this year's retreat. 🤝
The energy, unity, and reflection today have been unparalleled, and we are excited to continue this journey together. Stay tuned for more updates, and let's keep the momentum going! 💫
